He was predeceased by: his son Edward Kuipers; his great grandchildren, Summer and Chloe Koopmans; his parents, Hendrik Kuipers and Jantina Kuipers; his brothers, John, Henry (Diane) and Bill; and his brothers-in-law, Henry Postma and Jim Postma.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Kuipers; his children, Henry Kuipers, Annette van Gilst (Jan), Jean Koets (Richard), Christine Clitherow (Carl) and Cynthia Koopmans (Jon); his grandchildren, Daniel (Ashley), Amanda (Shaun), Victoria (Phillip), Sebastian (Tara), Isaac, Eric (Mandi), Alexander (Kate), Kevin (Emily), Melissa (Remi), Lindsay, Jenna (Luke), Lucy and Caroline; his sister Alice Suurdt; and his siblings-in-law, Elsie Kuipers, Marion Kuipers (Rex), John Postma (Lee), Tom Postma (Ann), Evelyn Rinsma (Klaas) and Barbara Horsley (Dale). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
