It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin George Birney (Castleton, Ontario), who passed away on November 22, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Clifford Birney and Della Birney; and his brother Bill Birney (Bev). He is survived by : his wife Sharon Weese; his children, Michael Birney (Andrea) and Laurie Birney; his stepdaughter Donna Knapp (Kevin); and his grandchildren, Katie Coupland and Jaden Knapp.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Ed's House Northumberland Hospice or Heart & Stroke Foundation.
