Jan VanderHout wrote a sympathy message

“We are sad to hear about the passing of our favorite "farmers market guy". Dennis was a great guy who always came through, was where he said when he said, appreciated the value of good produce and never left his bills unpaid. We always appreciated his willingness to stand up for what he believed and to listen to others. Dennis' good nature will be missed along with his never ending supply of jokes. Our deepest condolences to your family.”

“We had the honour of meeting Mr. Dennis at the Kitchener Farmers Market, I was able to see a glimpse of his caring heart, compassion and love towards others, it was in those moments, where I realized that he was someone that my son and I could always look up to. Yes, there were hard times where he seemed tired, exhausted or even frustrated, but, he never let those emotions get the best of him, always trying to be the amazing leader he was to those in the market and to those who met him. PT 1/2”
