He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph Meester and Marie De Meester; his sister Madeline Claeys; his son Aaron De Meester; and his stepgrandson William Demers.

He is survived by: his wife Betty; his daughter Amber Gay De Meester (Goran Perica) of Menlo Park, California.; his stepchildren, William Demers (Jean), Wayne Demers (Lorrie), Charlene King (Glen) and Darlene Rylett (John); his grandchildren, Aaron De Meester (Kim), Adam De Meester (Leah), Angela De Meester and April Wilson (Jerry); and his great grandchildren, Blake Wilson, James, Adelyne and Brock De Meester.

Donations made in memory of Albert to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
