He was predeceased by: his spouse Martha Kovar (Sojak); his parent Bozena "Bessie" Kovar (Zvonek); his sister Lillian Lupasko; and his brother-in-law Stan Jurasek. He is survived by: his parent Charles Kovar; his children, Valerie Wolfe, Randy (Jane), Terry Billard (Randy) and Robert (Tracy); his grandchildren, Christopher Campbell (Nina), Jesse, Kaleb, Keegan, Katey and Kyler Kovar; his great grandchild Yeva; and his siblings, Elizabeth "Bessie" Jurasek and Alice James (Bill).
