She was predeceased by: her parents, Joris Vanderham and Laurina Vanderham (Nee Roodsand); her husband John Verkaik; her son Tim Verkaik; her great grandchild Matthew Bates; her parents-in-law, Willem and Marie Verkaik; her brother John Vanderham; and her siblings-in-law, Wilma Hummel, Reindart Hummel, Frank Toirkens and Cliff McNally.
She is survived by: her children, John, Jenn Verkaik, Dorothy Verkaik (Chris), Nina and Chris McCathern; her grandchildren, Felicia Moore (Kenny), Carissa Verkaik, Melissa Verkaik (Taylor Grant), Skylyn Verkaik (Johnny), Nikita Verkaik (Josh), Sadie Verkaik, Jocelyn McCathern (Brett), Brandon McCathern (Erin), Ryan McCathern, Alexis McCathern, Shawn, John, Kaleb, Lucas, Myson, Mya, Alexzander, Kristopher and Olivia; and her sisters, Peggy Toirkens, Laura McNally and Cora Kalverda (Meindart). She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her many nieces, nephews and friends.
