She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Lucas and Alva Lucas; and her husband Dr. Allen Churchill. She is survived by: her daughters, Jennifer Benn and Janice Carter; her son-in-law Darcy Benn; her grandchildren, Josh, Israel Benn, Grace and Adrienne Oku; her stepgrandchildren, Asher, Bartok and Torin Churchill; and her sister Marilyn (Bob) Handsor. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the McKinlay Funeral Home (459 St Clair St, Chatham, ON N7L3K6). A burial will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Dresden Cemetery (296 Trerice St E, Dresden, ON N0P1M0).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Alma to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation or a charity of your choice.
