She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Gyssels and Marie Serruys; and her siblings, Jeannie Gyssels, Irene Kucharski (John), Eleanor Gill (Ron), Larry Gyssels (Marilyn) and George Gyssels (Marguerite).

She is survived by: her spouse AimeVan Daele of Chatham; her sons, Randy Van Daele (Lise), Ken Van Daele (Christine) and Larry Van Daele (Polly); her grandchildren, Christopher, Alexandra, Larissa, Lucas, Emily, Laura and Julia; and her great grandchildren, Luna, Sebastian, Raeya and Sophie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
