It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Catharina Hooyer of Chatham, Ontario, born in Edmonton, Alberta, who passed away on March 5, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Dieleman and Marie Dieleman; her husband Everett Hooyer; her child Glen Hooyer; and her grandchildren, Tyler Oudman and Becky Bouma.

She is survived by: her children, Marilyn Oudman (Andrew), Betty Bouma, Wayne Hooyer (Martha) and Edward Hooyer (Laurie); and her siblings, Jane Dieleman, Adrian Dieleman (late Attie), Marie Verburg (late John), Jim Dieleman (late Ann) and Wilma VanGurp (late Jake). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and their spouses and 34 great grandchildren.
