She was predeceased by: her parents, Beverly Arnold and Clara Arnold; and her mother-in-law Doreen Payne. She is survived by: her husband Greg Payne; her daughter Michelle Benoot; her grandson Lucas; her sisters, Connie Legary (Don) and Colleen Tracey (Jamie Williams); her nephews, Jeremy, Matt (Rachel), Josh and Noah; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Blake and Claire Arnold; and her close friend Norma Primeau. She is also survived by extended family and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the McKinlay Funeral Home (459 St Clair St, Chatham, ON N7L3K6). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Cheryl to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation.
