He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelis Vreugdenhil and Johanna Vreugdenhil (van der Eijk); and his brothers, Bram (Jose), Jack (late Corrie), Joe (late Nancy) and Hank (Addie).

He is survived by: his wife Sara Vreugdenhil; his children, Cor Vreugdenhil (Beth), Anita Postma (Steve) and Mike Vreugdenhil (Lisa); his grandchildren, Ian, Matt, Kate (Eli), Sam (Julianne), Sydney, Abby, Courtney, Ben and Rachel; his great grandchild Jonah Postma; and his siblings, Jean Timmerman (late Jake), Theresa Horneman (Cor), Pieter Vreugdenhil (Lesley) and Arie Vreugdenhil (Corrie). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
