He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Lyndsay Slater (Bruce Emberley) of Toronto and Breanne Slater (Kyle McGrath) of New Hamburg; his grandchildren, Tegan and Wren; and his siblings, Stephen (Sue), David (Lynn), Lori Wammes (Ed) and Paul (Lisa).
