He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyril DeWael and Barb Benore; and his wife Carrie DeWael. He is survived by: his sons, Jason and Justin DeWael; and his grandchild Torin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and his best fur friend Buddy.
A reception was held on Friday, February 27th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home (459 St Clair St, Chatham, ON N7L3K6). A burial was held on Friday, February 27th 2026 at the Maple Leaf Cemetery (459 St Clair St, Chatham, ON N7L3K6).
