Dorothy Chapple Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy Chapple of Chatham, Ontario, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 25, 2025. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dorothy Chapple to pay them a last tribute.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Samuel Gilbert Newberry (Bert) and Margaret Jane McDonald; her siblings, Robert, Kathleen and Madeline; her son Charles Allan Chapple (Pat Black); and her grandchildren, Sherry Hiriart (Chris), Terry Chauvin (Rob Topping), Mica Sadler (Jill), Christian Hiriart (Angela), Tania Apolito (Carmine), Ethan Chauvin (Brittany) and Avery Chauvin (Brenna). She was also cherished by five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McKinlay Funeral Home (459 St Clair St, Chatham, ON N7L3K6). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Maple Leaf Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Dororthy to the First Presbyterian Church, Chatham would be appreciated by the family.
