He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Douglas and Nellie "Wilhelmine" Thomson (Branton); his wife Eileen; his brothers, Bill (Marjorie), Jack (Cathy), Jim and Bob Thomson; and his siblings-in-law, Margaret Thomson, James MacDougall and Art Birchenough.
He is survived by: his children, Paula Morrison (Perry), David Thomson (Anne), Lynn Thomson and Brett Thomson (Andrea); and his siblings-in-law, Shirley Wadman (Jerry), Lois Birchenough, Brian McDougall (Andrea), Marilyn McDougall, Janice Thomson and Pat Thomson. He is also survived by Loving grandfather to his 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
