He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Simon and Thelma Zimmer (Smith); his siblings, Abraham Zimmer, Robert Zimmer, Leonard Zimmer and Helen Haskell (Bruce); and his grandson Ryan Zimmer.

He is survived by: his wife Lillian Zimmer; his children, Gregory Zimmer, Bonnie Barylewicz (Frank) and Bradley Zimmer; his grandchildren, Kylie Myers (Josh), Kellan Zimmer (Melissa), Amanda Barylewicz (Ralph McIntee), Angela Barylewicz (Kevin Kingswood) and Allyson Stonham (Mike); and his great grandchildren, Ralphy, Jack, Landen, Zoey, Quinn, Kelvin, Grace and Gabriel.
