We are sad to announce that on February 3, 2026, Frederick Gordon Newcombe in Chatham, Ontario passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Doreen Newcombe and Glen Eliakim Newcombe; his brothers, George Herbert and Robert Glen of Kay's Corners; and his son Eliakim Frederick.

He is survived by: his wife Doris Jean Newcombe; his sons, Warren (Kathy), Wesley (Melissa), Wayne (Paula), William and Andrew (Pauline); and his grandchildren, Zakary (Zak), Harmony (Ro), Amber, Benjamin (Ben), Frederick (Rick), Jenna (JJ), Daniel (Dan), Byren, Megan, Weston (West), Emily, Victoria, Kyla, Cassandra, Wendy (Wren), Elizabeth, Alex, Blake, Alison (Ali), Carole, Jonathan (Jon) and Celeste (CeCe).

A prayer was held on Saturday, February 7th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (23 Detroit Dr, Chatham, ON N7M2M2). Visitation was held on Saturday, February 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honour Fred's life are invited to consider leaving a legacy through a donation to Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation, or Victoria Order of Nurses (VON Canada)—two causes that reflect his compassion, faith, and lifelong desire to serve others.
