He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Loreta Nauta (Camanzo); his children, Allison and Ethan Nauta; his parents, Marie Nauta (Plank) and Richard Nauta Sr. (Dick); and his brothers, Richard Jr. (Helen), David (Janet), Robert (Carol) and Michael Nauta.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any charitable donations be directed to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Canada.
