He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Agnes Dawson; his children, Katherine Hawley, Paul Hawley, Tom Ready, Suzann Ritchie and David Ritchie; his grandchildren, Angela, Tina, Gerry, Allan and Reneé; his great grandchildren, Olivia, Meredith, Caleb, Quinleigh, Emily, Joshua, Gabrielle and Charlotte; and his great great grandchild Grayson.

In lieu of donations in Gerald's memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Lung Association.
