He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Powers and Gladys Powers; and his former wives, Norma, Shirley and Florence.

He is survived by: his spouse Jean Wright-Powers; his children, Paul, Deb Powers of Chatham and Perry (Fern Clark) of Dresden; his grandchildren, Michelle, Stephanie (Robby), Shelby and Samantha; his great grandchildren, Bryson and Aubrey; his siblings, Sharon Hood and Jack Powers; his stepdaughter Diane Kierstead (Ross) of New Brunswick; and his daughter-in-law Janine Powers (Ian Colquhoun).
