He was predeceased by: his wives, Adriana "Sjaan" (Caspers), Sally (Kerr) and Noreen (Donahue); his parents, Maria Wijsman (van der Meel) and Johannes Wijsman; his siblings, Mary (late Gus), Elisabeth, Gerardus (Betty), Nick (Nellie), Cor (late Corry) and Gerard (Mary); and his granddaughter Megan Wijsman.

He is survived by: his children, John (Adele), Mary (Tony), Harry (Mary), Gerald and Fred (Kim); his stepchildren, Jeff (Lisa), Judy (late Gus), Beaver (Sandy), Karen (Paul), Kathy (Art) and Cindy (Glenn); his grandchildren, Jessica (Jeff), Cathy, Candi (Ricki), Jane (Andre), Joey, Jonathan, Matthew, Amanda, Hannah (Mitch), Keltie, Erin (Tyler), Stephanie (Casey), Hugh D'Arcy, Tristan, Seamus, Emily, Ashley, Lori, Keegan, Kirby, Marcie and Rick; and his siblings, Annie (Bert) and John (Isabelle).
