He was predeceased by: his siblings-in-law, Marceline Polowick (William), Geraldine Barnier (William), Jackie Praill, Carol Anderson Copeland, Bonnie Lou Cotton, George Anderson (Andy) and Cecil Anderson (Bucky).

He is survived by: his wife Mary Varney (Anderson); his children, Steven Varney (Corrine), Terry Varney (Stephanie) and Kelly Ann Varney; his grandchildren, Amanda DeVries (Bill), Nicole Pickering (Cameron), Paul Varney, Joshua Varney, Jeremy Varney (Michelle), Owen Varney (Jade) and Jack Varney; his great grandchildren, Ashley, Brennan, Avery, Carissa, Kaitlyn, Levi and Sophia; and his sisters-in-law, Maxine Lauzon (George) and Colleen Charron (Raymond).
