He was predeceased by: his parent James Ball; and his brother-in-law Peter Ferguson (Evelyn). He is survived by: his parent Hazel Ball; his spouse Ruth; his children, Rick Ball of Chatham, Leah Hanes of Los Angeles and Tamara McAllister of Chatham; his sisters-in-law, Theresa Ball (Bill Ball), Marjorie Ball (Junior Ross Ball) and Yvonne Ball (Murray Ball); his siblings, Murray Ball, Bill Ball, Junior Ross Ball, Jean Willson (Gord) and Marjory Skipper; and his brothers-in-law, Ivan Northcott and Leigh Blonde.
