“Dearest Smith Family, James Oliver was an incredible man. So grateful that he was in my life. Although our visits were far and few between in these past years, there was a time when Jimmy and his fantastic sense of humour were a daily staple in my life. I'll always remember the wisdom he shared and his gentle nature. One of my fondest memories of Jimmy is from my 37th birthday. Feeling the need to get dancing to some hard core hip hop, Jimmy and I went to Don Cherry's on Pellisier. (Windsor) The spot was 2 floors of serious youngin's just moving to the beats. Mostly filled with 19 -20yr old kids from Detroit, Jimmy danced song after song with me. His wild grey hair made him stand out but by the way he enjoyed the music- he was right at home.
