With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janet Kerr Deas of Chatham, Ontario, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 11, 2025 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Janet Kerr Deas to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her significant other John Deas; her parents, John (Catherine Houston) and Nettie; and her siblings, John (Christine) and Rena (Bill).
She is survived by: her sister Margaret (late Jim); her children, Beth Wright (Dan) of Chatham, Andrew Deas (Alice) of Scarborough and Ann-Marie Deas (Brent Glasier) of Owen Sound; her grandchildren, Kerri (Dan), Danny, Katie (Drew), Andrea (Jeff), Breann (Greg), Samantha (Oliver), Matthew and Michelle; and her great grandchildren, Evelyn, Madi and Ryleigh.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McKinlay Funeral Home (459 St Clair St, Chatham, ON N7L3K6). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church (145 Victoria Ave, Chatham, ON N7L3A7).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Nettie's memory to Outreach for Hunger.
