He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Wiersma and Rita Wiersma. He is survived by: his wife Hilda (Luyt); his children, Rick Wiersma (Suzanne), Cindy Wiersma (Steve Callagher), Doug Wiersma (Sherry), Sharon Smith (Dale) and Joel Wiersma (Ally); his grandchildren, Mark (Kate Wiersma), Nathan (Esther Wiersma), Laura Wiersma (Luke Wiersma), Matthew Wiersma (Alisha), Cindy (Josh Smith), Harvey (Mallory) and Owen (Courtney Wiersma); his great grandchildren, Jack, Clara, Macy, Chase and Summer; and his siblings, Deet Neutel, Jake Wiersma (Clara), Jim Wiersma and Marg Wiersma.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Grace Christian Reformed Church (255 Tweedsmuir Ave W, Chatham, ON N7M3B3). A memorial service was held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
