It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Joseph Bednarik (Chatham, Ontario), who passed away on December 11, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Bednarik (Kocis) and Thomas Bednarik; his daughters, Peggy Pollock (Jerome) and Katherine Bednarik; and his siblings-in-law, Georgina Ouellette, Tony Kurecka, Joe Fostik and Charles Ouellette.
He is survived by: his wife Lillian Bednarik (Vitek); his sons, Mark (Donna) and Patrick Bednarik (Janice); his grandchildren, Rebecca Sloan (Matt), Thomas Bednarik (Lizzie), Alexandra Livingston (Zach), Andrea Pollock (Stephanie), Anthony Pollock (Carly), Mitchell Bednarik (Cheyenne), Bradley Thompson (Kelly), Emily Thompson (Shane) and Meagan Bednarik; his great grandchildren, River, Emery, Leighton and Lucy; and his sister-in-law Mary Kurecka. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Stem Cell Cancer Research-Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre (Hamilton) or the Heart and Stroke Society would be appreciated.
