He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Fernanda Pereira and Severino Pereira; his spouse Isabel Carreira; his sons, Carlos Pereira (Amanda) and Eric Pereira (Emily); his grandchildren, Jackson, Jordan, Eleanor and Nelson; his sister-in-law Fatima Pereira; and his siblings, Henrique Pereira, Suzana Rodrigues (late Gualter), Severino Pereira (Marta), Elizabeth Pereira (Paul) and Alexandre Pereira (Mary Lynn). He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and many close friends.

Donations made in memory of John to the London Health Sciences Foundation would be appreciated.
