He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Schwarz and Mary Schwarz; his former wife Linda Campbell (Pinsonneault); and his siblings, Joanne Charron (Gene) and Terry Schwarz.

He is survived by: his significant other Geraldine Douez; his children, Laurie Schwarz (Scott Ball) and Carie Hughey (Dennis); his grandchildren, Jacob Hughey and Lily Carroll; and his siblings, Margaret Wattenburg, Bill Schwarz (Dianne), Carol Stover (Larry) and Doug Schwarz. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends.

Donations made in memory of John to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
