He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Ruth; his children, John, Jennifer Reed (Allan) and Jane Cripps (Keith); his grandchildren, Chantelle Pierman (Jake), Joshua Reed (Amy) and Allannah Kallonen (Benjamin); his great grandchildren, Kaleb, Kinslie Pierman, Alivia, Peyton, Austyn Reed, Julian and Thomas Kallonen; his siblings-in-law, Jean Coulson (late George) and Rob Gardner (Norma); and his close friend Sophie.
