He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thornton and Muriel Browning. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Tom Parkyn (Lou Ann), Lisa Won (William), Robyn Arruda (Joe) and Kim Fisher (Kevin); his grandchildren, Tiffany (Nate), Camie (Mike), Danielle, Tyler, Chantal, Erica, Cori, Cali, Willem, Jasper and Kade; and his sisters, Brenda Gilkes (Robert) and Karen Byers. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews & extended family.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 20th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the McKinlay Funeral Home (459 St Clair St, Chatham, ON N7L3K6). A burial will be held on Saturday, June 20th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Maple Leaf Cemetery (75 Maple Leaf Dr, Charing Cross, ON N0P1G0).
