He was predeceased by: his parent Jack McPhail; his grandchild Brenda; and his sibling Glen McPhail. He is survived by: his parent Leila McPhail; his spouse Hermine "Hermie"; his children, Greg McPhail of Chatham and Bonnie Monk (Donnie) of Toronto; his grandchild Barbara (Brian); his great grandchildren, Jeffrey, Michael, Christina, Craig and Christopher; his great great grandchild Selina; and his sibling Shirley Hellerman (Phil) of Chatham. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
