We are sad to announce that, on March 21, 2026 we had to say goodbye to Lena Gilhuis of Chatham, Ontario. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Luyt and Hilda Luyt; her husband John William Gilhuis; her grandchildren, Sarah, Rachel and Matthew Gilhuis; and her siblings, Cora, George, Jeannie, Peter, John and Richard Luyt.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Moore (late Terry), Mark (Babette), John (Leanne), Bill (Rosanna), David and Paul Gilhuis (Jennifer). She is also survived by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Lena's wish was for donations in her memory be made to Open Doors Canada (8-19 Brownridge Rd. Halton Hills, ON L7G 0C6) in lieu of flowers.
