We are sad to announce that on January 4, 2024, Lenny Hystek (Chatham, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Harry Schenk and Tena Schenk; and her husband Herb Hystek. She is survived by : her sons, Brent (Lynn), Eric (Valerie) and Nathan (Heidi); her grandchildren, Blake, Kylie, Carter, William, Jace, Savanna, Paisley, Van and Vyla; and her siblings, Pete Schenk (Michelle), Liz Prosser (Kevin) and Mike Schenk (April).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Reformed Church Missions.

“Dearest family of Lenny: Annie & Peter Malipaard send our deepest sympathy on the loss of your dearest family member who now is with the Lord. Absent from the body immediately present with the Lord. Peace, we pray will be with you at this time of loss. Lenny was a Head Nurse at Chatham-Kent Health when I had shoulder surgery and she was so kind and professional. When we would sit in our vehicles before entering our church she would wave to me 1st and I would wave 2nd. An angel taken too soon. a”
