She was predeceased by: her husband Murray Stokes; and her siblings, Bill Lowes (Win), Mary LePage and Lila Faubert (Henry). She is survived by: her children, Larry Stokes (Shirley), Bob Stokes (Brenda), Andy Stokes (Cindy), Rick Stokes, Brian Stokes, Marla LeGroulx (Paul) and Kevin Stokes; and her sisters, Margaret Therrien and Betty Siddall (Fred).

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations in honour of Leona be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
