She was predeceased by: her father Roy Strain; and her husband Herb Hind. She is survived by: her mother Gertrude Strain of Chatham Township; her children, Caroline Hunter (Paul), Rose Scott (Terry), Ann Jackson (Kevin) and Gary Hind (Kerrie); her grandchildren, Taylor Armstrong-Hind, Jonathan Scott, Sarah Jackson, Emma Jackson, Mac Hind and Mollie Hind; and her siblings, Fred Strain (Elsie), Florence Jeffrey (Rocky), Audrey Shepley (late Ron), Don Strain (Joyce) and Stuart Strain (Marion). She is also survived by nieces and nephews, friends, and extended family.

Donations can be made in memory of mom to the Chatham-Kent Hospice.
