He was predeceased by: his parents, John Vanderzwan and Martina Vanderzwan; and his siblings, Alice Molengraff (Brian) and Tineke Vanderzwan. He is survived by: his wife Tracie (Wiebenga); his sons, Ken Vanderzwan (Annette) and Jason Vanderzwan (Cathy); his grandchildren, Evan (Sandra), Noah, Lauren, Jess and Ben; his great grandchild Harrison Vanderzwan; and his sister Audrey.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the First Christian Reformed Church (25 Tweedsmuir Ave E, Chatham, ON N7M3Z6). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
