Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Mary leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.

She was predeceased by: her husband Donnie; and her parents, Harold Smyth and Gertrude Smyth. She is survived by: her siblings, Donna Beintema (Peter), Barbara Carroll (Dwight) and Glen Smyth (Janet). She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McKinlay Funeral Home - Chatham (459 St Clair St, Chatham, ON N7L3K6). A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 6th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.

Donations made in memory of Mary to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation or the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
