She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hoekstra and Florence Hoekstra; her brother Peter Hoekstra (Rolina); and her sibling's children, Audrey Spaling and Tim Wolting.
She is survived by: her children, Aaron Hurst (Ambree Martin) and Monica Hurst (Aaron DeRidder); her siblings, Jack Hoekstra (Ann), Shirley Singor (Frank), Andy Hoekstra (late Millie), Bill Hoekstra (late Millie), Tina Schenk (Peter), Cecilia Vanderveen (late Gerard), Sara Vreugdenhil (late Cor), Gerald Hoekstra (Regiena) and William Hoekstra (late Jean); and her close friend Brenda Booth. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the McKinlay Funeral Home - Chatham (459 St Clair St, Chatham, ON N7L3K6). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
