He was predeceased by: his parent Leo Leclair; his granddaughter Judy Newcombe; and his sister Margaret Van Raay. He is survived by: his parent Edna Leclair (Delanghe); his spouse Annette (VanDeWynckel); his children, Jack (Carole), Frank, Brenda Anderson (Rick) and Ron (Krista); his grandchildren, Ryan (Lacey), Kevin, Melissa (Brad), Nicole McLachlin (Shawn), Michelle (Ken), Michael (Lindsey), Nathan, Kylie, Chantal (Matthew), Van Esse, Amanda Curtis (Matthew), Derrick and Alana; his sibling Art (Corrie); and his siblings-in-law, Jack Van Raay, Alice Vanek, Georgette VanDeWynckel and Kathleen VanDeWynckel.
