He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Veres and Pearl Veres; his sister Elizabeth (Jake Nieczyporuk); and his nephew David Nieczyporuk. He is survived by: his wife Judy Pettinger; his daughter Sharon; his granddaughters, Isabella, Abigail and Ellie; his niece Laura; his great-nephews, Daniel and Jacob Nieczyporuk; his sister Ruth; his brother-in-law Larry Muxworthy; his niece Julie; his great-nephew Christopher; his great-niece Sarah; his nephew John; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Maya and Lincoln; and also Alyssa Nieczyporuk.
