With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Gilbert of Chatham, Ontario, who passed away on March 24, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gilbert and Lily Pearl Gilbert; and his siblings, Murray, Eldon, Glen, Nora Herbert, Jean Jones and Velma Rose.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann (Merritt); and his sons, Rick (Carol) of Mitchell's Bay, Gary (Linda) of Chatham, Jeff (Mariann) of Cambridge and Tim (Monica) of Toronto. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends planning an expression of remembrance are asked to consider the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation and Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation.
