He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Sterling (Hendrick); his parents, Theresa Sterling (Couture) and Dominic Sterling; his daughter Pamela Sterling; and his siblings, Cecile Ghan (Raymond), Lionel (Maureen), Clifford (Nancy), Donald and Jerry Sterling.
He is survived by: his children, Paula Coleman (Barry) and Scott Sterling (Kinga); his grandchildren, Danielle (Hudson), Courtney, Kara (Alex), Adam, Bianka and Aleks; his great grandchild Scarlett; and his sister-in-law Betty Sterling. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
