She was predeceased by: her parents, Rose McGivern and John McGivern; her siblings, Mary Seney, Pat, Mike, Francis and Hugh McGivern; her father-in-law Jacob (Margaret Johnston); and her brothers-in-law, Ernie Lauterbach and Neil Seney.

She is survived by: her husband John Johnston; her children, Byron Johnston (Lisa) and Brandon Johnston (Amy); her grandchildren, Nevia Johnston, Mia Johnston, Logan Johnston, Riley Johnston and Jayden Johnston; her siblings, John McGivern, Theresa McDonald (Mike) and Bernadette Moor (Brent); her sisters-in-law, Rita McGivern, Laura McGivern, Leona McGivern and Karen Lauterbach; her close friend Winnie Grainger; and her caregiver Jackie Wise. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
