He was predeceased by: his stepparent Bertha; and his siblings-in-law, Margaret Sifton (Bill), John Houston (Nessie), Andrew Houston (Eleanor), Robert Houston (Marilyn) and Norman McMullan.
He is survived by: his husband Ruth; his children, Brenda Dagg (Bryce) of Elora, Stuart Button (Jane Lovell) of Picton, Cheryl Kirk (Robert) of Wallaceburg, Karen Walker (David) of Wallaceburg and Richard Button (Christine) of Wallaceburg; his grandchildren, Alison Negrave (Jeff), Jennifer Dagg, Melanie Kirk-Hall (Scott), Laura Kirk (Justin Adams), Matthew Kirk, Erin Walker, Denise Perkins (Christopher), Kristin Walker (Brendan Howarth), Emily Button (Brennan Wadsworth) and Madeline Button; his great grandchildren, Graham, Lucas, Ben Negrave and Ava Perkins; and his sister-in-law Margery McMullan. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
