In the echoes of fond remembrance, may a sense of peace be found, knowing that the memories held dear will continue to shape and inspire her loved ones, keeping Ruth's spirit alive in the hearts and actions of family and friends alike. While her presence may be gone, her impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
She was predeceased by: her husband Harold J. "Bucky" Walters; her parents, Herbert Thompson and Nora Thompson; and her siblings, Margaret Webb (Norman), Jack Thompson (Lil) and Malcolm Thompson (Pauline).
She is survived by: her sons, Paul of Chatham and Brian of Cottrellville. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Chatham Granite Club (41 William St N, Chatham, ON N7M4L3).
In lieu of flowers, donations to either Outreach for Hunger-Chatham or the First Presbyterian Church-Chatham would be greatly appreciated.
