She was predeceased by: her parents, Rene Vanroboys and Margaret Vanroboys (Allemeersch); her husband Roy Martin Downey; and her siblings, Julianna Casier (Marcel), Harry Vanroboys (Mary), Oscar Vanroboys (Marie Louise) and Norman Vanroboys (Helen).
She is survived by: her son Mitchell (Karen). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McKinlay Funeral Home - Chatham (459 St Clair St, Chatham, ON N7L3K6). A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
