She was predeceased by: her parents, John VanBeets and Patricia VanBeets; and her siblings, Hilda (late Gerald), Douwe Jan and Douwina (late George).
She is survived by: her husband Horst Rotter; her children, John VanMinnen, Pamela Wells (David) and Doug VanMinnen (Jessica); and her sisters, Grace (late Mike), Louise (Walt) and Fran (Herman). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family ask that in memory of Sylvia, donations be made to Loads of Love Humanitarian Aid & Mission Society or ShareWorld Global (formally Gideons International).
