He was predeceased by: his daughter Tina Hazlett; his parents, Lloyd Hazlett and Helen Hazlett; and his siblings, Brian Hazlett and Joan DeMaeyer.

He is survived by: his common-law partner Helen Reeves; his daughters, Pennie McVicar (Terry) and Pamela Hazlett; his stepson David Reeves; his sisters, Linda Willimot and Karen Higgins; and his brother-in-law Bev DeMaeyer. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
