He was predeceased by: his parent George Joseph; his son Gregory Thomas (Jennifer) of Brantford; and his brothers, Patrick (Gloria) of Windsor, Mike (Diane) of St. Thomas and John (Peggy) of British Columbia.

He is survived by: his parent Margaret Mae Pettit (McCormick); his spouse Judith Pettit of Chatham; his children, Ken Core (Lisa) of Forest and Janice Core (Dan) of Brigden; his sibling Marlene Smith (Jack) of Sarnia; and also, Westies, Bonny Lass and Finnegan.
